The Spyglass Exchange project envisions a thriving community event space where Vancouverites can gather and share goods and ideas in a unique urban environment. The project takes advantage of an under-utilized, but ideal location under the southern end of the Cambie Bridge, which receives abundant light and shelter from the rain.
Situated in the burgeoning Southeast False Creek neighbourhood, this pocket of unplanned municipal territory is an opportunity to establish an inspiring public space that connects urban thoroughfares to the green spaces and amenities of the False Creek Sea Wall. In keeping with both the City of Vancouver’s Planning objectives, including its “Greenest City” goals, the project will serve as a leading example of how responsible lifestyles can be cultivated through community engagement, innovative partnerships, and municipal support.
